Introduction 1984
First flight 21.09.1984
Falcon 900 is a French corporate business-jet, the extended variant of trijet Falcon 50 but with a larger fuselage. The aircraft is powered with three Honeywell TFE731-5BR-1C turbofans that are notable for specific S-duct type. The Falcon 900 also differs from its predecessor by wings of greater wingspan and wing area.

The aircraft was targeted on the civil market and it made its first flight on September 1984. The test period ended in 1986 and after that the deliveries started. In 1995 an amount of 142 aircraft was sold to the airlines from 30 states.

The original variant of the aircraft was Falcon/Mystere 900 equipped with TFE731-5AR-1C of 20,02 kN thrust. In the end of 1991 in France and UK the second variant Falcon/Mystere 900B was certified. That particular aircraft was delivered to customers. This variant could be used in unprepared fields and it was powered with new TFE731-5BR-1C (21.13 kN) that improved flight data and increased the range.

In 2000 the new variant of the aircraft designated Falcon 900C was revealed. It is a variant of Falcon 900B with better avionics.

The first Mystere 900 of “Very VIP” class was delivered to the French Navy in 1987. Same aircraft were bought by Algeria, Australia, Gabon, Malaysia, Nigeria and Spain. Two Falcon 900s were delivered to Japanese Airforce to serve as long-distance maritime patrol aircraft.
